01Why CEOs call Bill

The plan is sound. Execution keeps slipping.

  • Priorities reset every Monday and nobody can say which three matter most
  • Decisions queue up at the CEO’s desk
  • Meetings report on problems instead of solving them
  • Sales, operations and finance chase different versions of the plan

Bill is an operator who's done it. He led corporate development, M&A and a hardware-to-services transformation at Hitachi, and global go-to-market teams at IBM Watson Health and Cohesity. He's been in the rooms where the toughest calls get made.

04Questions

CEO and leadership team coaching, answered.

What does a CEO coach do?

A CEO coach is a trusted outside advisor who helps the CEO make better decisions, build a stronger leadership team and turn strategy into execution. Bill works with you on the calls that can’t wait, and with your leadership team on the rhythm that makes the plan happen.

How is leadership team coaching different from executive coaching?

Executive coaching usually works with one leader at a time. Leadership team coaching works with the whole team together: how you set priorities, communicate, decide and hold each other accountable. Most execution problems live between leaders, not inside one of them.

What is the Pinnacle Business System?

A business operating system that covers five parts of the business together: People, Purpose, Playbooks, Performance and Profit. Red Team Leadership is a Pinnacle Business Guides partner. Bill installs the system with your leadership team, starting with a two to three day base camp, and coaches you until you own it.

Who do you work with?

CEOs of companies with roughly $30M to $500M in revenue, leaders running business units inside bigger companies, and their leadership teams. Clients include Vickers Engineering, Triumvirate Environmental, Presidio, and Hitachi Energy USA.

Do you work with companies going through an acquisition or a business model change?

Yes. Bill led corporate development, global M&A and a shift from hardware to hardware, software, and services at Hitachi, and created Hitachi’s first incubator to integrate acquisitions. He helps leadership teams keep execution on track while the company changes around them.

How do we start?

With a 30-minute call. It’s a working conversation, not a sales pitch: you’ll leave knowing where execution is breaking and what to fix first, whether or not we work together.

Thirty minutes to find where your execution is breaking.

A working conversation with Bill, not a sales pitch. If we're not the right fit, you'll still leave with a clear next step.

  • Where your plan and your weekly reality have drifted apart
  • The one or two changes that would move the numbers fastest
  • Whether a base camp makes sense this quarter
